Near where the Gradaščica and Horjulščica rivers meet and then after a few meters separate again, there is famous peaks dam. This was until the end of the sixties one of the most famous bathing place for urban and suburban population, especially young people.
Dishes are adapted to the season, while maintaining the foundation, constant or culinary backbone consisting of fish, easier prepared different types of meat with vegetables and vegetarian dishes. New dishes could arise from day to day and are prepared by the skilled hands of our chefs.
The Restarant Pečarič was the first among Slovenian restaurants that introduced mushrooms with buckwheat groats, meal, that today in the international culinary guides’ ranks among the best – after the merger of two harmonious flavors and aromas.
Of course, we can prepare other features of the house; asparagus with cheese and cream, noodles with asparagus and from meat prepared snails, turkey breast steak with asparagus and corn, baked beef with artichoke and others. Frequent side dishes are artichokes, asparagus, corn, mushrooms and other vegetables.
From the initial cold dishes we also offer home cooked ham with horseradish, prosciutto with melon and olives, venison salami and refreshing salads with seafood.
With a changes in diet and preferences of guests, it is associated increased demand for fish dishes. So we prepare trout with parsley and garlic or almonds, filet of sole with lemon sauce and walnuts. In different ways we can also prepare other types of fish and squid popular everywhere. For gourmets we have available scampi, grilled or “stewed savory”, crab fritters and fried frog legs. Special desserts we offer are pancakes “Pečarič”, homemade cakes, fruit salads, cups and ice cream.
