In the year 1980 Jožica and Stane Kepa opened Pri Japu pub. The name of the inn is a household name, since the homestead has always been called Pri Japu.
The speciality of the inn is that it is a family run and all people working in it are from this homestead. Until the year 1980 the inn was run by Jožica’s parents. Back then this was a small bar which had a bar counter and a few tables. Later the bar was expanded by Jožica and Stane and from small bar grew a formidable and renowned Pri Japu inn.
As you are driving on the road from direction of Šentvid pri Stični towards Litija, the St. Anton chapel will be on the right sight of the road. Immediately after that you will see a big parking lot and a beautifully tidy “Pri Japu Inn”. Next to the inn stands a covered summer garden in which you can enjoy the view of the vineyards (Debeli Hrib, Čagoška Gora, Primskovo) with delicious food and a cold drink.
The inn is known for a mighty hayrack – a genuine Slovenian hayrack (it was built in the year 1999) and one of the few that serves the catering business (the hayrack is closed with glass, heated and air-conditioned).
Under the hayrack and in the salon of the inn weddings and anniversaries take place on Saturday, whilst on Sunday you can enjoy your family lunch or celebrate your birthday, christening, communion… Cviček – pride of Dolenjska region – produced in our own vineyard on Debeli Hrib.
In our inn you can choose between a rich offer of homemade Slovenian dishes, fish dishes, vegetarian dishes and grilled dishes. There’s also a wide selection of wine, among which we also offer you Cviček, made in our vineyard on Debeli Hrib.
We organize feasts for numerous occasions like weddings, communions, confirmations, anniversary celebrations, business lunches, New Year’s Eve, the feasts of St. Martin etc.
If the celebration in prolonged until the morning hours you can also sleep with us. Entertainment for children is also taken care of as they can play on the children’s playground next to the inn.

As a big novelty we present to you a large outdoor tent for wedding celebrations.
We can take care of the decorations. A tent with round tables can take up to 250 people, with square tables uo to 350 people. The tent is heated and air-conditioned. Inside there is also a big stage and a bar.
