Increasing emphasis is being placed on comprehensive beekeeping, which includes a wide range of bee products (honey, royal jelly, pollen, propolis, wax), which we include in apitherapy in combination with phytotherapy (herbalism), which herbs are obtained from our own bio herbal plant on our property.
Year after year, the youngest grandson Jože Kotnik Jr. showed a greater interest and love for bees. (1992 -), so soon the original apiary became too small. This is how the decision was made to build a transport apiary. With this, we acquired our first transport unit and increased beekeeping for 53 new bee families. This allows us to transport bees to areas where they produce larger quantities of each type of honey. We are the recipient of numerous awards for honey quality. The most current awards are: Gold medal for Forest honey AGRA 2024 and Silver medal for Acacia honey during AGRA 2024, whose award-winning honeys we have just now on offer.
Today, our KOTNIK Beekeeping has over 300 profitable bee families.
