Classical traditional and homemade dishes and venison prepared according to the recipes that pass in our family from generation to generation are the foundation of our offer.
In venison dishes we offer you various venison dishes from chamois, deer, wild rabbit, wild boar, bear and other venison, prepared in various ways without missing the numerous dried meat products, like venison sausages and deer or wild boar prosciutto, an unique specialty, which for many of our guests represents an entirely new culinary experience.
Among traditional dishes you can choose between different stews, homemade sausages, blood sausages and dried meat products, buckwheat porridge, struklji and similar dishes, to variety of desserts and various strudels with cranberries, blueberries and other forest fruits.
Dishes are diverse, adapted to the season because we try to offer every visitor of our inn to find something in our offer that will suit his/her taste. We also have something special every day that may not even be on our regular menu and that is why we recommend that you ask our service personnel on the day of your visit about a daily specialty. We adapt our offer to the selection seasonal fresh ingredients.
Ingredients for the dishes come from pristine environment or we buy them from reliable and verified suppliers which is one of the conditions that the Pri Planinskem Orlu inn can be a sign holder of the trade mark “Slovenia Inn”, in which only the catering providers who correspond to the rules, standards and criteria for obtaining the sign and trade mark can be.

Our inn is among the providers of dishes under trade mark “Flavours of Kamnik” with which the Kamnik’s hospitality sector wants to diversify the offer of traditional, homemade and original dishes. That is why we recommend you to try “Firšt’s goulash” or calf’s rumen, which is our specialty.
Good food requires good wine and that is why we have top-quality wines available to you.
We daily prepare various luncheons and a wide selection of lunches. For pre-booked groups we also prepare a menu according to your wishes.
To avoid your potential bad mood we recommend reservations or at least prior announcement for bigger groups, since we do not want you to leave us hungry or thirsty because you wouldn’t get a free table.
Our restaurant can accommodate up to 160 guests and is just perfect for various celebrations, wedding, anniversaries, business lunches and dinners. During the summer season we have additional 100 seats available in the summer garden.
In a new enlarged dining room there is also enough space for the dance floor and children’s nook with playground equipment and changing table have also been arranged so that parents can enjoy their lunch or dinner without disturbance.
